Honey
Light breakfast is the best way to start another working day with energy and good humour. HONEY is a tasty supplement of our daily diet; it is especially good for breakfast. Although it is highly caloric, it is easy to digest and our organism quickly uses the calories from honey. It does not overload the liver but detoxicates it and makes us feel satiated and very light.
Exceptional value of this "great nature's treasury" was acknowledged already in the antiquity, and folk tradition has been using honey for ages not only as food but also as a healing agent.
It is hard not to like honey when you already know the richness of its tastes, have tasted numerous flavours and became amazed by the variety of its warm, light and amber shades.
And the choice is so wide!
There are light coloured honeys like acacia, rape, linden and multiflorous honey, dark ones like except of buckwheat and heather honey, there is a truly Polish specialty - honeydew honey. It is the honeydew honey which contains the most mineral salts.
Honeys with propolis and royal jelly have exceptional properties. Propolis is the substance which is used in purified form, with wax removed from it. It is rich in biologically active ingredients. Honey with addition of propolis helps in treatment of inflammations of upper respiratory track, oral cavity and throat, also of liver and stomach. Royal jelly is a perfect nutrient with strong revitalising and anti-aging properties. Honey with addition of royal jelly improves well being of elderly people.
